What Minimal.md collects
Nothing. Minimal.md has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. It doesn't make network connections — the app isn't allowed to by its own sandbox settings — so nothing you open can leave your Mac through it. Images hosted on the web are never loaded.
What Minimal.md reads
Only the Markdown files you open, and the folders you explicitly choose to share so their local images can be shown. The Quick Look preview reads the file you're previewing in Finder. Minimal.md never writes to your files.
What stays on your Mac
Your settings (such as text size and whether to show local images) and the list of folders you've shared are stored locally on your Mac, where both the app and its Quick Look preview can read them. You can revoke folder access at any time in Settings → Privacy. Deleting the app removes this data.
Apple
If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers in your Mac's settings, Apple may pass on anonymous crash reports for Minimal.md. Apple handles that data under its own privacy policy; Minimal.md adds nothing to it. Beta testers using TestFlight can send feedback and screenshots through Apple — only what you choose to send.
Children
Minimal.md collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
